About the Conference
This conference addresses the dominance of “native speakerism” in English language teaching (ELT) which often marginalizes culturally and linguistically diverse educators and learners especially in resource-challenged contexts. It aims to provide a venue for educators, policymakers, and researchers to rethink English teaching as equitable and culturally responsive. The conference explores issues related to pervasive ideologies and challenges norms and practices that privilege traditional monolingual models of English use.
